Dilmah Conservation is committed to creating awareness on the importance of conservation and on appreciating nature. This is done through such initiatives as the “Learn Your Butterflies in a Day” workshop series consisting of five workshops, which started in September last year. The fourth workshop was held on January 31st at the MJF Centre in Moratuwa and was conducted by Mr. Himesh Jayasinghe. He took the 22 participants on a comprehensive guide on how best to observe butterflies and on how to identify the different varieties.

The interactive workshop took the participants out into the field and showed them how to behave and on how to make use of a guidebook correctly. Through active free workshops such as this Dilmah Conservation hopes to create within people an enthusiasm towards nature and our role in helping conserve it. The workshops are open to the public, young and old alike. For free registration, send an email to info@dilmahconservation.org.
