Dilmah’s Resplendent Ceylon sweeps Conde Nast Traveler 2021 awards

Conde Nast Traveler, the bible of luxury travel, announced their 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards. Registered readers from across the globe weighed in on their favourite resorts. All three Resplendent Ceylon hotels were featured in the Top 25 Resorts in Asia list - Cape Weligama at #4, Ceylon Tea Trails at #8 and Wild Coast Tented Lodge at #21.
These awards are testament to how special travel experiences can enrich us. They highlight travel experiences readers around the world long for most, the memories created and cherished over the years, especially when travel was restricted. On the back of votes for the hotels, Sri Lanka was among the Top 5 Countries for travel. The country’s potential is still largely untapped.
Such awards help Sri Lanka position itself as an aspirational destination, which helps all tourism operators - from top to bottom.
Resplendent Ceylon is working on its next resort in the Cultural Triangle in Dambulla. Expected to open in 2023, this will be at 33 room and suite treehouse hotel with elevated pods connected by a canopy walk in a 15 acres ancient forest.
