The Dilmah Gourmet teas have been re-launched with a new contemporary packaging focusing on the Dilmah USPs of Single Origin, Garden Fresh, Unblended tea. The range, now called, Single Region Selection brings out the significance of terroir in tea and the diversity that real tea offers. The Single Region Selection teas embody the distinct flavours of the areas in which they grow. Like wine, different growing regions produce different flavours and characteristics making certain varieties more suited to specific regions. The hours of sunshine, moisture, temperature and soil each contribute to producing unique taste, aroma and character producing a tea for every occasion, every mood and every individual. Each tea is identified with the region where it is grown, offering an explanation as to how the region influences the taste and character of the tea.
The English Breakfast, grown in the Dimbula Valley, is distinguished by its strong and bright character whereas the Earl Grey, grown in the Ratnapura region, is an elegant tea with a delicate hint of bergamot fruit. The Ceylon Supreme, grown in the mountains of the Maskeliya region, is known for its intense full bodied flavour. For something a bit lighter the English Afternoon tea, sourced in the Golden Valley in the Bogawantalawa region, is an excellent option as it is medium in strength and offers a delightful bouquet.
Just as important to the flavour as the region it is grown in is the way the tea is produced. The Single Region Selection Teas are crafted in the traditional style, creating tea that is varied and sophisticated. This method, perfected over centuries, ensures the integrity and quality of real tea.
To support the launch of the Single Region Selection, creatives have been developed for print and TV which focus on each of the varieties mentioned above. For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
