- More than 10,000 consumers voted for their favourite products of the year
The must-have supermarket products for 2020 have been revealed across multiple categories - including food, cooking, beauty, health and household items.
With tens of thousands of items on the market to choose from, the annual Product of the Year Awards have made it easier for shoppers by rounding up the top 35 items.
The 'Product of the Year' red stickers will now appear on the award-winning products as a 'shortcut' to help customers save time and money when shopping.
The glowing results came after more than 10,000 Australian consumers had their say and voted for their favourite products, with 13 out of 35 products taking out the lead in the 'health' segment.
Based on their shopping habits, this year customers are embracing healthier brands - whether it's snacks, food, oral care, digestive and gut health, or supplements.
'We're thrilled to see that healthier alternatives are increasingly available in stores as consumers are yearning for this,' Product of the Year Director Sarah Connelly said.
'Not only will these products improve consumer's quality of life, they are also becoming more affordable and accessible.'
'We're also happy to see an increase in 'self-care' products as the importance placed on mental health and wellbeing in society continues to escalate.'
In the health aisle, Sunsol's PRO-Biotic toasted muesli (), Messy Money's rice puff bars (.50), Cobs Pop'd Chips () were named among the best.
The results also saw an increase in 'self-care' products such as Gut Relief With Probiotics, Canesten PH Test Nature's Way Beauty Collagen Shot, Listerine Go Tabs, Blis Probiotic Throatguard and Voltaren Emulgel.
