The Dilmah Silver Jubilee Gourmet will stock a range of premium Ceylon teas from Dilmah as well as offer different teas like Earl Grey, Organic Sencha, Blood Orange and Eucalyptus, and more.

As part of the partnership, the hotel’s executive chef Dwayne Krisko travelled to Dilmah’s headquarters in Sri Lanka to learn all aspects of tea growing, picking and serving.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre’s general manager Nishan Silva commented “We are honoured to be partnering with such a prestigious tea company to offer our guests something exclusive in the Middle East. We are always looking for ways to ensure those who are visiting our hotel have a unique experience and the Dilmah Silver Jubilee Gourmet will strengthen this further.”

Merrill J. Fernando, who founded the Sri Lankan tea company in 1988, added: “We are very excited to integrate the first “Dilmah Silver Jubilee Gourmet” in a hotel in the entire Middle East, as it offers a premium location with a culture that fits to our brand values.”

As for choosing Dubai for their lounge’s first location in the Middle East, Fernando’s son and CEO of Dilmah Tea, Dilhan Fernando said, “when you have different cultures, you have the readiness to accept something different. (Dubai) is a fresh city and everybody is adventurous so anything new is embraced.”

The lounge will be open daily to guests from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
